Spring Dressing with Park

Keeping a steady one-blog post-a-month roll takes skills... so fortunately my intern/assistant Neesha is here to help! And by help, I mean introducing us to an amazing designer that'll make you want to dive into spring style STAT.

Park by Joanna Hadfield is a nearly four year old line of mostly dresses, and I gotta say, the Spring '12 collection is her best yet. The New Zealand born and bred Joanna currently lives in Santa Monica, so it's no surprise her dresses are airy, light and perfect for a sun-drenched afternoon. We're simply smitten for her soft cottons, easy silhouettes, and subtly sexy cut-outs and slits, so Neesha just had to ask Joanna:

What do you love most about designing dresses?
Fashion is such a beautiful way of creating pieces of art that move through the world and stay timeless, and a dress can live on forever and evolve through generations.

What's your personal style M.O.?
I'm really into long skirts and maxi dresses. I hope women can own their confidence and be sexy without having to be slutty Barbie. I love getting dressed up and wearing beautiful sexy clothes, but not for men... for my girlfriends.

What was your inspiration for Park's Spring '12 collection?
It's named "California Here I Come," and since I'm now in my fourth glorious year of living in this fine state, I took inspiration from the luxurious beauty around me.

What we can expect from Park in the future?
I'm really looking forward to Fall '12... velvet and hand-dipped tie-dye are a few teasers to get excited about.

Park can be purchased Switch Boutique in Bev Hills and online at parkthelabel.com.

Get the Look: Charlize's Golden Globe Headband

Of all the red and nude lips and dresses, fishline hems, and tousled tresses, the big winner of last night's 69th Golden Globes was a Dior-clad Charlize Theron and her vintage Cartier diamond headband.

During the red carpet arrivals a friend of KiMELEON promptly texted a pic with the caption: Get the look!

Jill's wearing her 'Heiress' crystal stretch headband–a KiMELEON classic and instant post-Globes fix.

The 'Heiress' comes in five, four and three rows of crystal, and ranges from $60-$70... available here!

A KiMELEON New Year's

While headbandits from around the U.S. & Canadaland have already gotten in on some KiMELEON NYE action, today is the last day to order your perfect party hat to ring in 2012!

Really, it's the perfect occasion to infuse glamour into your party ensemble via a festive fascinator, sequined bow hair/dress clip, glittery mini top hat, etc.

Powers Play

I had the honor of working with the amazing Lulu Powers to create an easy-peasy holiday party in L.A., and we documented the affair for the December issue of Angeleno.

Almost as exciting as collaborating with Lulu (and chatting with dinner guest Jeffrey Alan Marks and his Million Dollar Decorators co-star/BF Ross)?

Lulu chose a fascinator from KiMELEON's Holiday 2011 collection to wear during her fête!

'Madame Peacock' was a perfect accessory choice for the vivacious party planner, and a festive addition to her seasonal spread.

IDEA: Pick up a copy of Lulu Powers' book, Food to Flowers, (and a copy of Angeleno) for inspiring tips, tricks and recipes for stress-free entertaining. You'll never look at party-throwing the same!

Bride & Bloom

Jessa and Ben got married in Tucson this September, and the bride tailored every detail of her special day right down to the flowers... in everyone's hair!

She worked one on one with KiMELEON to customize her 'Rosa Doblé' hair clip for Friday night's rehearsal dinner, then selected everything from the tulle to crystal buds for the flower girls' headbands and clips for the wedding ceremony.

Jessa even enlisted KiMELEON to curate a crystal tiara to complement her luxe princess gown (and strapping groom)...

From all the special touches (custom everything) to the after-dark dance party in the desert, it truly was a magical affair filled with lots of love, petals and pizzazz!

Hello, Duchess!

The Style Network's MyStyle featured a really haute Halloween costume idea (or real life ensemble–you be the judge) with one royal muse: Princess Kate.

Obviously to channel the Duchess you'll need a fancy hairpiece to top off your look, and they chose Kimeleon's dreamy 'Hello, Dolly' fascinator...an option as good as rose gold!

KiMELEON Holiday 2011

Coming soon to a party near you!

My Best Friend's Wedding

My BFF Lauren got married this past July in Atlanta, and the bride (in a stunning Elizabeth Fillmore gown) most definitely infused her color savvy into the entire wedding party: Bridesmaids in rich purple, matrons of honor (me!) in raspberry, and bright, bold floral bouquets to tie it all together.

While Lauren went au natural with a fresh-cut white lily pinned into her French braid half-do, she wanted something that would pop for her bridal party.

Enter KiMELEON's red and fuchsia flower clips with crystal and pearl buds!

We worked together to pick the perfect colors to complement the vibe of the wedding, and red/purple color-blocking (so Gucci SS07) seemed like a perfect fit...

And it was! Just like The Prices.

PS-Two more of my besties rocked KiMELEON on their special days and I can hardly wait to share their photos! Soon...

Best tickets in town!

Spot of KiMELEON

I was beyond when one of the editors at Jezebel (Emily) asked KiMELEON for a selection of fascinators for an afternoon tea shoot with...Erin Andrews!

It's a beauty piece that was shot at the Ritz in ATL––doesn't Erin look smashing in her 'In Louve' clip?

The entire article ––> right this way!
